EMERGENCY FIRST RESPONDER
As one of the foremost international CPR and first-aid training companies, Emergency First Response courses give lay responders the confidence to handle medical emergencies – not just diving-related, but in everyday life. Similar to PADI programs, Emergency First Response courses, training materials and educational curricula were developed by experienced instructional designers. Course content is based on patient care standards as published in the consensus view of the Basic Life Support (BLS) Working Group of the International Liaison Committee on Resuscitation (ILCOR). ILCOR is an international standards group representing most of the world's major resuscitation organizations.
WHO SHOULD TAKE THIS COURSE?
Emergency First Response training focuses on building confidence in lay rescuers and increasing their willingness to respond when faced with a medical emergency. Course participants learn simple to follow steps for emergency care and practice applying skills in a non-stressful learning environment. All courses are supported by self-study manuals, videos and quick reference cards to enhance learning and allow you start learning right away.
EFR courses meet the CPR and first aid training requirements for the PADI (hyperlink to rescue diver course) Rescue Diver course and all professional-level ratings. Most PADI Instructors are also Emergency First Response Instructors.
The following EFR courses are based on internationally recognized medical guidelines for emergency care.
WHAT WILL YOU LEARN?

Primary Care (CPR) – This course teaches you the steps and techniques for handling life-threatening emergencies. You’ll practice eight skills for aiding patients who aren’t breathing, have no heartbeat, may have a spinal injury, may be in shock or who may have serious bleeding. You’ll learn to how to perform CPR and continue to monitor the patient, so that you provide every possible chance of survival while waiting for emergency medical services to arrive.

Secondary Care (First Aid) – Because many medical conditions are not life-threatening and emergency medical services are sometimes delayed or unavailable, this course teaches you how to provide first aid that eases pain and reduces the risk of further harm. You’ll learn to assess a variety of injuries and illnesses and practice bandaging and splinting.

Care for Children – This course allows participants to learn, practice and apply emergency care skills specific to helping infants and children with medical emergencies. It’s designed for those who work with children or are likely to have to respond to emergencies involving youngsters. This course is often integrated with Primary Care (CPR) and Secondary Care (First Aid) courses.

CPR & AED – This course focuses on CPR training and teaching participants how to use an AED (automated external defibrillator). When workplace or governmental requirements specify this training, the CPR & AED course meets the need. This course is often integrated into First Aid at Work programs.

First Aid at Work – In some areas, governmental regulations call for enhanced CPR and first aid training for the workplace. First Aid at Work programs designed for these areas include additional topics and skills to meet requirements while following the easy to learn EFR approach to training.

EFR Refresher – It’s a good idea to refresh your CPR and first aid skills every 24 months, and that’s what the EFR Refresher course is designed to do. Focusing on key skills, the course allows you to stay up-to-date and ready to lend aid when needed
PADI RESCUE DIVER
If you want to take on a challenging but fun role in the diving scene, then being a PADI Rescue Diver in NJ is the way to go. This certification will greatly enhance your scuba skills and will certainly test your judgment and critical thinking capabilities. When lives are on the line, being a PADI Rescue Diver can certainly be an asset. In this capacity, one learns not only to make sure of their own safety underwater, but also considers the welfare of other divers. This training will help you in foreseeing and preventing any diving mishap from happening, and if needed, manage any diving emergency situations that may arise.

ENRICHED AIR DIVER
The PADI Enriched Air Diver course is PADI's most popular specialty scuba diving course, and it's easy to see why. Scuba diving with enriched air Nitrox gives you more no decompression dive time. This means more time underwater, especially on repetitive scuba dives.
You can typically stay down longer and get back the water sooner. No wonder many divers choose this as their very first specialty
As part of your Enriched Air Diver Specialty course, you'll learn about:

PADI ADVANCED OPEN WATER DIVER

Well, no. In fact you can take it and apply for the PADI Advanced Open Water certification right after you graduated from your Open Water Diving course. Once you have a PADI advanced open water certification in NJ for open water diving, it’s not merely sightseeing that you can do, you now also do a bunch of other underwater activities like wreck diving, deep diving, do digital underwater photography and a whole lot more! Your diving experience will become richer and more fun in so many ways. Also, if you get certified at this level, you will take a step closer to being a Master Scuba Diver—that’ s the highest diving certification there is in the planet. See how cool that would be?
In the duration of your PADI advanced open water certification in Newark, NJ course, you will need to complete a series of deep and underwater navigation dives. These are meant to give you practice and give you a confidence boost in terms of mastering your deep diving foundation skills. You have a total of 15 adventure dives to choose from while you’re in training; check the local wreckage in the area, choose to fly through the area using a diver propulsion vehicle or you can opt to go night diving. All these activities of course you will do under the supervision of your PADI instructor.
